Meet AY Young and the artists who bring their own voices to Battery Tour.
Different sounds. One shared invitation: get plugged in and power change.
FOUNDER & ARTIST
The artist behind the tour.
AY Young founded Battery Tour to bring people together through music and make clean energy part of the live experience. His songs, performances, and collaborations connect the tour’s many stages. As the journey continues toward Show 1,000, AY’s music stays at the center—with room for other artists to bring their own voices to the story.
SINGER & SONGWRITER
A voice with something to share.
Mimi Nichole is a Kansas City singer, songwriter, and multidisciplinary performer. Her work draws on lived experience, connection, and a desire to lift people up. Alongside her independent album Circles, she has collaborated with AY Young on “AYO” and “Homeland (KCMO Anthem).” She brings her voice to Battery Tour’s live performances and to AY’s wider Project17 work.
COUNTRY ARTIST
Country music joins the conversation.
Andrew James brings a country voice to Battery Tour’s mix of artists. He features on AY Young’s “Red White and Blue” and joins Mimi Nichole and Jay Welch on “Homeland (KCMO Anthem).” His appearances with AY include the Road to 1,000 concert in Times Square during Climate Week NYC—connecting his sound with a stage built for different voices and shared experiences.
MUSICIAN
Music with a purpose.
Jesse David is a sustainable musician from Nairobi, Kenya. His EP Only Way and recent release “Home” explore how music can inspire positive change. He also features on AY Young’s “GYAL.” As part of Battery Tour’s artist community, Jesse invites listeners to get plugged in and power change.
Artists and guest appearances vary by show. Visit the tour for show announcements.
